The hits keep coming for the Los Angeles Angels.
The Angels are languishing in fourth place within the AL East and have lost 10 of their last 11 games. To make matters worse, it seems they’ll be without three-time MVP Mike Trout for a bit longer.
Trout reportedly needs more time to recover from a ribcage injury suffered before the all-star break.
Per the Angels’ head athletic trainer, Mike Frostad, Trout received a cortisone shot earlier in the week, meaning he won’t be activated off the IL when eligible on Monday. When Trout retakes the field for the Angels is still unknown.
